Attended another impressive OKC.js lunchtime presentation at the <div> yesterday, where Luke Crouch talked about the amazing additions Mozilla is bringing to JavaScript and to the browser as a platform for application development. I was particularly intrigued by Boot to Gecko and got to wondering what it means for a web browser to stand in as an operating system. How far down will they go?!

I’m also excited to learn that okcCoco is coming back! Oklahoma City’s geek co-working collaborative lost its home a couple months back and was in limbo while raising finances and a location for a new spot. okcCoco is an amazing space and their presence was missed. In particular, our OKC Cocoaheads group lost its meeting space when okcCoco lost its home.

The new okcCoco space will be in downtown’s Film Row. They open on July 2nd to members and are hosting their grand opening on Monday, July 16th, with tours and free co-working all day.
